The second sketch this morning was not working out and was looking more like a cartoon - which is fine if that is the intention.  When I really looked carefully I had sited the eyes too far away from the nose.  I tend to draw freehand and not to measure as i like to feel free.  My eye always tells me when something is wrong but sometimes it takes me a little while to pinpoint the problem.  However experienced an artist you are, getting back to drawing is so good.  I have sketched every day now for several weeks and can feel the benefits, having said that I am ready to take a break this morning before completing two or three more this afternoon.  Tomorrow will bring a change of routine.
