I have been very busy for the past few days with our 'Christmas in July' joint exhibition.  Our studio gallery is at home in Samford Valley on the outskirts of Brisbane, Queensland.  I work downstairs and my husband uses the mezzanine as his studio.  I have the advantage of being able to use the kitchen area and also I am able to spill outdoors to gather material for drawing/painting as well as being to paint indoors or en plein air as the mood takes me.  We had a lovely afternoon on Saturday sharing our space with invited friends.  We chatted, drank wine and nibbled on little morsels of Christmas goodies.  Our son manned the sales desk and all was a huge success.  Our next step is to open to the public, which we intend to do on the last Saturday of each month until December.  The next job is to advertise.
