Saturday morning and here I am in the studio.  I am now working in blocking in colour and tone on one of my calf studies.  Because I studied the calves over a period of time I have managed to capture yhe movement that I was seeking.  I build up several layers and finally enhanhance the darks and the line near the end of the work.  Because I want the works to be fairly dramatic and illustrative, I tend to over dramatize the stance and the contrast.  I also add some flicks of paint at the end to suggest movement.
