Felt really unwell yesterday so rested up all day and didn't go to the concert that I had been invited to. Disappointing but couldn't do anything about it. Today just as i was prepared to write on the blog the internet has been down all day and only just come back on - it is amazing how much you miss it!!
This afternoon, feeling much better and spent a good couple of hours in the studio. I have revisted a painting that I had been quite unhappy with. Instead of scrapping it I endeavoured to see what i could do. It began as a mixed-media and has actually got some Vivaldi sheet music in the background. I had previously stencilled the gate and printed some brick effect plus some stippling. So today I painted over some areas that were not in keeping with the crumbling wall effect that I wanted to achieve. I repainted the upper garden and darkened the gondola. I will probably have one more session on it but , in general, I am much happier.
