The tricky angle of the face has taken me some time to adjust.   I have removed the uppermost stripe in my quest to achieve a face I am satisfied with, or think I will be after some more work.  I will add the stripe again once the paint has dried.  The face is dropped with few of the features showing; the nostrils are hidden as are the eyes and the upper lip is low.  To add the features I would have to tilt the head up and that would take away the mood of the painting, a total fascination with the leaves that she has shuffled into a pile.  Autumn never ceases to please.
