I thought that I would do a trial run of the Faber-Castell art grip aquarelle pencils for my private student who wants to master art journaling.  At present he is working with the Prismacolour pencils, which although rich in colour coverage, are not watercolour.  I am pleased with the depth of colour of the Faber and castell even without the addition of water.  I will not add water until the class so that I can demonstrate the difference.  I may decide that i prefer the look without the addition of water - time will tell.  The Derwent Intense pencils interest me but, at present, i do not want to spend the money on them.  Perhaps the art shop may allow me to trial them in there before purchasing something that may, in fact, be little different to what I already have.  I have watched a Youtube demonstration and they do seem very vibrant.
