I have just sketched a slightly different direction of the three year old from last autumn in Paris, whose parents kindly allowed me to photograph their daughter as she shuffled through the fallen leaves.  On that day, last September, 2015, Jardin du Luxembourg was full of children shuffling through the leaves, throwing them in the air and generally revelling in the joy of crunchy leaves underfoot!  There was a particularly gorgeous tree with rich orangey leaves, some on the tree, some on the ground, and the fun was not limited to children, a young lady scooped up an armful and through them into the air so that they would land all over herself.  As I had just missed a photo opportunity, I asked her if she would mind repeating the action.  She obliged willingly!  Another painting opportunity that I am also looking forward to.  I will need to work on the mouth if I am to use this shot but I am leaning to the other, one even though I know that it doesn't give too much of the facial features, as i find it a little more in a child's faraway world.
