Friday 1 June and I thought I would blog my current stage in the 'Autumn in Paris' painting.  I think that I am beginning to get the feel that I was aiming for - the glow of warm golds and oranges of the autumn leaves.  The figure dominates the canvas as I wanted it too.  I like her strong stance as she explores the wonder of the mound of leaves just waiting to be shuffled through.  She was one of many children, that day in September 2015, who revelled in the joy of shuffling, throwing, crunching the carpet of fallen leaves. As I capture the experience on canvas I  relive the moment of the day and hope that a little of that joy and wonder transmits to the viewer.
