I am blogging this last sketch, not because I am totally happy with it, but because even the sketches I struggle with need to be shared.  It is important that I share the tricky times as well as those that seem to just fall into place relatively easily.  Sometimes a child's face can end up looking a little older than you would like.  Small scale sketches can be distorted by slight scale differences or by too much information.  The struggles are important as we learn much from them.  I will return to the drawing board tomorrow and complete a couple more sketches plus create some thumbnails in order to select my preferred composition for the canvas.  I enjoy problem solving and meeting challenges - the journey is always interesting and ultimately satisfying!
