Well, my cup and saucer for today is a little different.  it is one of the sets where the saucer is actually a plate as well and, whilst I am reasonably happy with the result I personally prefer the other more traditional china cups and saucers as art works.  I will blog my result nevertheless as I think it has something of worth.  Tomorrow is another day - so 'back to the drawing board' tomorrow!  Even though the foreground shadow seemed to be of a green/yellow hue I think I prefer my blue/purple tones for the shadows.  More experimentation tomorrow.  I intend to work on about a dozen of these studies and then select my favourites for framing.  It is my intention to have a selection of Paris cards and prints for our July exhibition plus some small original works.  I haven't even bought materials yet for the cushions but have not abandoned that project.  More of those plans later!
