I added the finishing touches to my cup and saucer and, although I could carry on adding extra touches, I really have to know when to stop.  It is so easy to overdo things when you are working in watercolour.  I want to have a freedom in my work and for that to happen learning when enough is enough is paramount.  Once I have a series I will no doubt have favourites.  Artist Liz Steele seems to be able to do these free studies of her cup and saucer whilst she is in the process of drinking the beverage contained within.  I have a feeling that my drink would be cold long before I had finished!!
