It is quite some time since I have written a blog.  I have been between works and been in the planning stage, but I am now in the groove once more.  I have finally begun to create my 2015 travel journal.  It is always better to work as you travel but my whirlwind trip did not allow time for that and now I am having to work from photographs.  In 2017 I intend to follow the Urban Sketchers' regime and work on the spot - it will be a challenge for me to work boldly and quickly.  I tend to map out large painting very quickly but am perhaps over fussy when it comes to sketching.  I desperately want to be free!  My trip began in Bath and, as I had only one day there, I skipped jet lag and went straight into explore mode.  Arriving in London from Australia at six in the morning I went directly to Bath by train, walked all day, ate at the Jane Austen Tea Room, changed for the evening and then on to the Ustinov Theatre for a French farce!
