I added some colour to 'The patisserie' this morning.  Naturally more layering has to happen before I achieve the vibrance that I want.  These studies I approach in a different way, a more illustrative treatment I suppose.  It is a conscious decision to paint in a more colourful manner, sometimes even unrealistic colour.  I stop at a point where I know I will be happy to return.
