Have gone back to an earlier painting because I was not at all happy with the background.  I am
re-working the background, some of the highlights on the jacket as well as the picture frame.  I will need another session and if i am still not happy I will strip it back and redo it or abandon it.  Having said all of that I am hoping to be able to fix it because the subject has a happy connection to the Musee Rodin, not far from where I used to live.

This has absolutely nothing to do with this particular painting but it does trigger off a memory of the Musee Rodin garden.  I used to frequently spend my afternoons in the garden there and one day witnessed some school children throwing one of the girls school bags into the pond.  She did not say a word but the body language said it all as she fished out each item and put them on the grass to dry in the sun.
