The roses are from our 2013 trip to Europe.  Finally began a new painting after much deliberation.  I decided upon a flower painting and obviously it is in the very early stages blocking in.  I was torn between this and a beach scene in Cornwall and so my next painting will be that one.  The sea is lapping around the rocks and there is a figure in the foreground - think it should make an interesting painting and will be a challenge - but one that I am looking forward to.
