I spent the entire day on and off trying to fix the left hand face so that it would be in keeping with the
impressionistic feel that the rest of the painting has!  Finally I have reached a stage whre I think I should leave it as I have wiped the face off about a hundred times and I have been going demented!  Funny how this happens from time to time - it's like a mental block occurs - you know ther is a problem but you just can't fix it - you walk away - you leave it and sometimes you can eventually fix it - at least to a point that you can live with it.
