Finally got into a new painting today!  I have spent the past few days deliberating between subjects and finally decided that I was in the mood for a freer subject.  Yellow poppies - still from Monet's garden.  Once I had  decided on flowers I was torn between some roses from the Rose Garden in Florence and several different flowers from Giverny.  The underpainting is, of course, very basic but tomorrow should see more work on the background and the petals.
