I am having a full day in the studio today and am thoroughly enjoying myself.  Here is an update of yellow poppies from Giverny.  I am now working on the details of the flowers and I am happy with where I am at.  I am fixing up some shapes as I go.  The flower to the left needed dropping a little and the one at the top middle seemed to be a little fat.  I know that I could be slower and make sure of the dimensions when I first map out the painting but I am naturally spontaneous and fast paced.  Even when I used to make props for kids plays at school I never made a pattern - just created as I went along, adjusting and fixing as I went - that's just me!
